Article 1. Name, Status and Legal Domicile

1.1 Name: The scientific organisation working under this Constitution shall be known as the Asian Network of Research on Antidiabetic Plants, hereinafter referred to as ANRAP

1.2 Status: ANRAP shall be a non-political, non-profit making body devoted to scientific study of plant materials for antidiabetic activity with -the aim of developing useful products for the treatment of diabetes.

1.3 Legal Domicile: The legal domicile of ANRAP is in Dhaka (BANGLADESH). The network is organised and run under and subject to Bangladesh law.

Article 2. Objectives of ANRAP

2.1 To develop close cooperation between the scientists working in the field of antidiabetic plant research.

22 To compile informations on the antidiabetic plant materials reported in scientific literature and reputed in the folkloric use

2.3 To exchange views, experiences and information among the research workers in the field.

2.4 To make a concerted effort in finding out pure active antidiabetic principles from plant sources.

2.5 To scientifically evaluate the formulations prepared from one or more plants and used in traditional medical systems.

2.6 To make facilities available in the field in one laboratory to the workers in other laboratories.

2.7 To train junior research workers especially postgraduate students at laboratories where proper facilities are available.

2.8 To arrange exchange of visits by scientists working in the field.

2.9 To orgarvise Seminars on Plant Materials as a Source of Antidiabetic Agents.

2.10 To cooperate with scientists working in various fields of Natural Products involving other plants or disease areas.
